As a child, Omi Dang dreamed of becoming a teacher, but her career ultimately led her into the business world. She joined Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa, now known as AgriS, the agricultural company established by her mother, Huynh Bich Ngoc. Over the years, she has played a key role in transforming Vietnam’s largest sugar producer by promoting sustainable farming practices and integrating smart agriculture technologies. In 2024, Dang took over from her mother as executive chair of TTC AgriS, which recorded revenues of approximately $1.1 billion, representing a 17% increase from the previous year.

How the ASEAN 5000 Works

The application process is straightforward and takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. IIA's research team handles the verification your job is to tell us who you are and what you have built.

Explore

Complete the Short Application

Submit basic company information: registered name, founding year, ASEAN nation(s) of operation, sector, primary revenue source, and three-year revenue figures. The application form is available online and takes approximately 30 minutes. No consultants, no lawyers just your numbers and your story.

Provide Partner References & Data

In the application, provide IIA with at least three companies, investors, or institutions that have worked with your business over the past year. IIA will send a short survey — four questions — asking how likely they are to recommend your company. IIA combines these responses with independent financial verification and our own research to produce the final ranked list.

Announcement & Profile Publication

The 2026 ASEAN 5000 list is announced publicly in October 2026. All applicants successful and unsuccessful are notified privately by email in September, before the public announcement. Every honouree receives a dedicated company profile page, the ASEAN 5000 Seal, and an IIA introductory briefing on corridor access opportunities.

Confidentiality

References are kept confidential. Survey responses are aggregated individual reference responses are never disclosed to applicants or third parties.

Ranking Methodology

The ASEAN 5000 uses a transparent, weighted scoring formula combining revenue growth, absolute scale, sector relevance, and UK market readiness. Full methodology is available on request.

Explore

3-Year Revenue CAGR

Compound annual revenue growth over the three most recent fiscal years, verified against audited accounts, exchange filings, or certified management accounts. The primary ranking signal growth velocity matters more than absolute size.

Absolute Revenue Scale

Total revenue in the most recent fiscal year, converted to USD at IMF year-average exchange rates. Ensures the ranking reflects both fast-growing early-stage companies and established industry leaders.

Sector Strategic Relevance

IIA's editorial assessment of the company's relevance to the UK–ASEAN corridor's priority sectors — green energy, digital economy, agriculture, healthcare, and financial services — and ASEAN's strategic development priorities.
